...paints a picture of a childhood summer when I lay on a flower-covered meadow surrounded by the humming of insects and stared dreamily into the blue sky above. A sense of yearning and satisfaction that only children can know.

It is very dear to me to hold on to my dreams and preserve a fragment of my childhood.

I love to stroll along the seashore. The wind, the waves at play...the depth and immensity of the sea are a reflection of the soul. For me, every seashore ramble becomes a journey into the depths of my very own inner being.

The hectic pace of our time unsettles our sense of balance. I am increasingly aware of just how important tranquillity is for me. A retreat to and a reflection of my very own inner strengths that supports me on my journey and keeps me from relenting to the Sirens’ daily seduction into madness.

I am a great admirer of Jaco Pastorius, of the idiosyncratic style in which he plays his music, his melancholic moods, of the profundity of his play and compositions. This piece emerged after his death. It was originally written for Big Band and was performed by the Hessischen Rundfunks Big Band many years ago.

8 ½ from Fellini. A film classic. It also cast its alluring spell on me.
ASA NISI MASA is a magical language, a language that children create to immerse themselves into a world of their very own. Magnificent!

Hope. Such a positive word. Hope is hope itself, inspires courage and bestows strength. A contemplation of hope always conjures a smile to my face.
